The Detectors Inc. Model D383 UV/IR/IR/IR Multi-Spectrum Flame Detector is a new generation of High-speed optical flame detectors designed specifically for liquid spray and powder coating applications. It offers a fast and reliable fire detection and monitoring for detecting fires in early stages in compliance with NFPA 33 Standard. The Model D383 senses Ultraviolet radiation in the UV spectrum and Infrared radiation in 3 discrete bands of IR spectrum for detecting fires.
The Model D383 flame response and false alarm source rejection is accomplished by utilizing a the Convolution Method and Advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processing) The detector will respond to a flash-fire 0.3 second and easily detects a 1 ft. x 1 ft. n-Heptane or IPA fire from 40 feet within 3 seconds.
The Model D383 is a stand-alone fire & flame detector in watertight NEMA 4 (IP66) and explosion-proof Aluminum enclosure designed for Class I, Div. 2 (Zone 2) Installations. The Detector features automatic self-test for continuously checking the optical path integrity while monitoring the electronics to ensure utmost reliable operation and fault reporting.
